Tech 4 Elders

Our Tech 4 Elders program is an opportunity to help elders in our Community learn about technology and feel more confident engaging in the online world. We use a combination of self-created content and curriculum licensed by AARP’s Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) called Senior Planet.

With Senior Planet, DCI achieves measurable change in the lives of elders through five key impact areas where technology plays a crucial role: financial security, social engagement, creative expression, health and wellness, and civic participation. This partnership enables DCI to help elders access technology and use it to enhance their lives.

In 2024, DCI utilized Senior Planet curriculum to teach elders the following topics: Staying Safe Online; Digital Coupon Tools; Emojis, GIFs, & More; Getting Started with Canva; and Everyday Uses of Artificial Intelligence.
